As we grow, so will our capabilities to pursue and embrace our vision. This expansion will enable us to enhance our rescue operations, intake processes, and overall care for cats in need. Our dedication to providing comprehensive and compassionate care will remain unwavering, as we evolve to better serve our feline friends and their future families.
Rescue, intake, and assessment of cats
Purring Paws will create individualized care plans for each cat, including medical treatment, dietary needs, and socialization strategies. Efforts will be made to place each cat in a suitable foster home or adoptive family, matching their personality and needs to the right environment. Purring Paws will also provides ongoing support and resources to adopters to ensure the cats' successful transition into their new homes.
Providing veterinary care
Providing veterinary care will be a critical component of the center's mission. This includes vaccinations, parasite treatment, spaying/neutering, and addressing any health issues the cat may have. Microchipping is also performed to ensure the identification of each cat, significantly increasing the chances of reunification with their owners if they become lost.
Shelter and Care
Providing a safe and comfortable environment: Cats will be housed in clean and spacious enclosures, with access to food, water, litter boxes, and enrichment items.
Socialization and enrichment
Staff and volunteers interact with the cats, providing playtime, affection, and mental stimulation to help them become well-adjusted and ready for adoption.
Adoption Program
Through a thorough evaluation process, our center aims to match cats with adopters whose preferences and lifestyles are well-aligned with the needs of the cats. We will provide adoption counseling to educate new pet owners about proper cat care, behavior, and the responsibilities of pet ownership. Adoption events hosted by Purring Paws will allow the community to meet and interact with adoptable cats, fostering connections that can lead to successful adoptions.
Community Outreach
Educating the public about the importance of spaying/neutering, vaccinations, and providing proper care for cats. Fundraising: Organizing events and campaigns to raise funds for the center's programs and operations. Volunteer program: Recruiting and training volunteers to assist with various tasks, such as cat care, cleaning, and administrative support.
Other Activities
Partnerships with other organizations: Collaborating with local shelters, veterinary clinics, and animal welfare groups to maximize their impact.
